Crisis Response and 4 County Crisis

The 4 County Crisis Intervention team provides 24/7 telephone crisis intervention and support directly to members of the community through access to a local and toll-free line.  Crisis Intervention Workers provide assessment, supportive counselling, intervention, and referral to
community resources, as appropriate.  This is a voluntary service available to individuals 16 years of age and up living in City of Kawartha Lakes, Haliburton, Northumberland, or Peterborough County.

Programs include telephone and/or mobile crisis intervention, short-term case management, and short-term crisis/safe beds. Staff will respond and assist callers in dealing with their immediate crisis. 4 County Crisis will also provide helpful information, emotional support, and offer referrals to other appropriate resources. Staff also specialize in serving people who have intellectual disabilities or concurrent disorders. Staff have access to a Behavioural Consultant.
